Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy is an out of network provider with insurance companies. We practice out of network because we would not be able to provide the high level of care and individualized treatment that we do at the rates that insurance companies currently pay for physical therapy treatment. We believe this is a better way to deliver the best possible care, as it will save you both time and money.

At Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy, you spend the entire treatment session with your therapist. This type of treatment allows us to produce a truly individualized plan specific to your needs and provide the proper amount of attention to your issues.

While your first reaction may be that our method will cost you more money out-of-pocket, you will see in our example below that our system may actually save you money while providing you with more effective treatment.

The Suarez Physical Therapy Way

The same patient from the Conventional Therapy Way at Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy will only require one appointment per week. They will spend the full session with a physical therapist at a cost of $195.

Because of the continuous extra time spent with a therapist each week, you will typically only require 4-5 weeks of therapy. That means the total cost to you for 4-5 sessions is around $800-$900! Again, not to mention only having one session per week instead of 2-3 sessions and giving you back about 2 hours of your week.

Our Rates

The rate for all treatments is $195 per hour-long session. Most patients will only require one session per week. There are also options to purchase a discounted packs of 6 sessions (average $175/visit) or 10 sessions (average of $165/visit) ahead of time.

Conventional Physical Therapy

Therapists at clinics that accept insurance rates are required to see 3–4 patients per hour and usually spend an average of 15-20 minutes of one-on-one time with each patient while aides and technicians instruct patients in exercises or take them through “Exercise Flow Sheets”.

An average patient is asked to see a physical therapist two to three times per week. During those visits, you work with an actual physical therapist for 15-20 minutes each session—a total of 30 – 60 minutes. If your co-pay is $45 per visit, you’re paying $90 – $135 for an average of 45 minutes of time with a therapist, not to mention traveling to the clinic two – three times per week and spending an hour there each time.

A typical patient is then asked to see a physical therapist for a period of 6–8 weeks (18–24 visits). That means your $45 co-pay will cost you between $810–$1080 and 3 times the amount of time! That’s not to mention if you have to pay a deductible first!

What Does This Mean for You?

Wouldn’t you like to be pain free faster? Wouldn’t you like to have a better understanding of how to reduce your chances of these injuries happening again?

Why make 16–24 visits to a physical therapist when you can receive better results in 4–5 visits. Most people find it difficult to take an hour out of their day three days a week to go to treatments. And if your co-pay is higher, or you have a high deductible, the benefits of Suarez Sport and Orthopedic Physical Therapy are even greater!

Can I Get Reimbursed from my Insurance?

In most cases, the answer to this is YES!

For most insurance companies, you can find a claim form on their website. Simply print it out and submit it along with your receipts and treatment codes that we provide for you. The amount you are reimbursed is dependent on your “Out-Of-Network Physical Therapy” expense benefits. You may also use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA).
